# Dukaan Digital

> Dukaan Digital is an online catalogue and WhatsApp ordering tool for small neighbourhood grocery shops (baqala, kiryana) in the UAE. A shop gets one link and a QR code. Customers browse items, build a cart and send the order to the shop's WhatsApp number. Currently a pilot with shops in Sharjah. Prices are in AED.

## Key facts
- No app to install. The catalogue opens in a phone browser.
- The shop chooses which languages customers can see, from 10: English, Roman Urdu, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Pashto, Filipino. Shopkeeper portal: Roman Urdu, English, Urdu.
- Shops pick items from a digital catalogue organised in kiryana categories, can add their own items, and set their own prices.
- Shop portal: orders with status and new-order alert, sales dashboard, customer list with groups (new, regular, VIP, sleeping, lost), built-in promotions calendar (Jumma, weekend, salary week, month end, Eid).
- Dukaan Digital does not process payments. Orders are sent to the shop's own WhatsApp number.
- Pricing is not final during the pilot. Joining the pilot needs an invite code.
